We bought two of these blue, NON-SOLAR, lighted planters and have them on our pool deck. Purchased for each with free shipping, I think they are a neat addition to our pool area. The solar planters offered here are about more, but I've never had much luck with solar lighting. Got them hooked up to a (weatherproof) timer and they look great at night. They come fully assembled, just take them out of the box, stick some potting soil in them and add plants. They've already survived a couple of Florida thunderstorms and heavy rains with no problem. They use an energy efficient CFL light bulb and put out just the right amount of light. Shopped around some other sites but Amazon was the cheapest and you can't beat the free shipping!

GS16L Light My Shed 2 Solar Lighting Solution Customer Review


I installed Light my Shed, which has two 8 watt florescent bulbs, in a 12'x24' horse run-in shed 2-3 years ago. It has worked well, and I haven't had to replace either of the bulbs or had any problem with the battery. As other reviews stated, it is adequate to see what you are doing but not for any detail work.
I recently added a 10'x24' double stall building and decided to try the Lite my Shed 2 which uses 24 LEDs. I was pleased. In comparing the two, they appear to give off they same amount of light. One of my unscientific test was to go to the far wall (24 ft away) hold my hand 12 inches from the wall and see how strong the shadow was. It does seems the LEDs produce a whiter light. I have another building and am going to go with the LED light again.
I only rated it 4 stars because I would have liked more light; it's not the product, but the technology. I rated Light my Shed 4 stars also.
